Woodlands Park – 3G Playing Pitch & Pavilion
3 March 2016
John McQuillan (Contracts) recently completed this project on behalf of Belfast City Council which involved construction of a full size, floodlit 3G playing pitch for GAA sports, also suitable for rugby and soccer. A new changing pavilion building was constructed alongside the new synthetic playing pitch.
Works associated with construction of the new playing pitch included installation of a 3G synthetic surface and underlying shock pad layer, floodlighting, spectator fencing, perimeter fencing, ball stop catch nets and vehicular/spectator access paths.
The new pavilion building is a modern changing facility with a gross internal floor area of 566.4m2 (approx. 6100 sq. ft.).
