Hazardous Waste Collections

Whether you’re a small company or a blue-chip multi-site operation, the disposal of difficult or hazardous waste can present a real challenge.

Having provided hassle-free waste collection, treatment and recovery solutions for over 20 years, McQuillan Environmental can offer Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) trained chemists to provide correct waste codes, recommend correct packaging/storage, transportation and arrange for hazardous waste consignment note for each waste movement.

With our 100% self-delivered collection service, we can provide a service that’s tailored to your exact needs. Our Technical Support Team will assess every consignment to ensure each load complies fully with legislation.

Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes

As a legal requirement, the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) requires all hazardous waste movements to be accompanied by a hazardous waste consignment note (including movements of Acids, Bases, Asbestos, Heating Oil Tanks, Paints, Adhesives, Chemicals etc.) Three days of pre-notification must be provided to the NIEA before any hazardous waste movement.

McQuillan Environmental will liaise with the NIEA to raise the required consignment note and provide copies to all parties – Waste Producer, Disposal/Treatment Facility, Transport Provider and the NIEA. The consignment note will display details of the waste producer, the type and volume of waste moved, disposal/treatment facility, haulier and all permit/licence numbers.
